100 New Trees for Atlanta

There are now 100 new trees in Freedom Park in Atlanta!

Not even the cold, windy weather can stop The Arbor Day Tour. Last Friday and Saturday we had wonderful volunteers from The Home Depot, school kids, Trees Atlanta and other local volunteers help plant 100 large trees. It was a great event and a great way to celebrate Georgia’s Arbor Day.

A special thanks to The Home Depot Foundation! Their partnership with us makes tree planting possible around the country. With their support we are able to educate people on the many benefits of trees as well as plant some trees.

The Arbor Day 2007 Tour makes its next stop in San Antonio on March 2, 2007!

Miami – 100 New Trees

Miami Arbor Day Event, 1-19-07Miami Arbor Day Event, 1-19-07

Happy Monday!

I’m happy to report that Miami now has over 100 new trees!

Last Friday we had wonderful volunteers from The Home Depot, school kids and other local volunteers help plant 100 large trees. It was a great day and a great way to celebrate Florida’s Arbor Day.

I’m also happy to report that for the first time, Miami became a Tree City USA designated city. This means that Miami understands the value of trees and is working hard to plant, nurture and care for their trees. A special thanks to The Home Depot Foundation! Their partnership with us makes tree planting possible around the country. With their support we are able to educate people on the many benefits of trees as well as plant some trees.

The Arbor Day 2007 Tour makes its next stop in Atlanta on February 16, 2007!
